A poem

Well I'm not much of a poet but here goes.



Where are you?
Why did you leave?
You didn't like it here
But then again nobody does
We sink to the bottom
We plead for our deaths
L plead for you

i found it rather nice, short and to the point. i take it that it came from one of those places you just had to be there for.

This is actually the first poem that I've ever written:

farthest Alaska of my record collection
look what you've done to my glasses
it's a true story
indeed

nicely done , have you played around at writing any more?

Hold on:

Ruthless
your mother is
toothless
there may be
dogs about
excusable
there is a drought

O.K. I am speechless now, did you just come up with that?Anyway, I am amused.

Hmmm . . .

Why do people assume anything with line breaks is a poem?

do you mean
they aren't?
that is
ridiculous

or anything with lines is art...

Watch, I'm going to write something off the top of my head and half the people on the site will think it's genius:

So then this is the way the world ends, Mr Eliot,
and the killerbees and ABCs
all make the same soup in the end,
with the bang bang bang of desperation mounting
upon your vinyl collection and your Italian
plush leather sofa and your Abercrombie
yellow sweatshirt with the comfortable
sleeves. It's all the same, it's all the same,
it's all bombs and drums and tall men
taking pictures of themselves with pretty
girls and forgetting what it is
to be in love. So whimper away,
because we aren't going to get any better.

Absolute genius.

Here's my poem,

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Some poems rhyme
some don't


I know its been done before, but I felt this was a good place to put it.

I don't get it.
