See Emily Play video

Is it just me, or do these guys look totally tripped out in that field? I got the priviledge to see the whole video (Kazaa) and not just the "30 second clip," and these guys look like they are totally tripping on acid. Have they ever given any retrospective comment on this, or is it just a 'thing' they did? (Invisible intruments, running around, looking in the sky)

Funny video. Almost a sequel to Syd's First Trip! Dave is running like being in heeled boots, Nick's drumming is very stoned and the thing I like the most is the part when Roger shoots with his Rickenbacker bass and then shouts something at Nick - really revealing his future.

That and the Astronomy Domine one are the only cool Belgian promos. The Piper songs are an insult to Syd, since Dave is shown playing.

Yeah, but David looks kooky! Kinda like he didn't belong, or felt incredibly stupid doing these things. (you can also tell on See Emily, that he's not used to running, or something...)

Yeah. I probably would have felt the same if I just had to replace a pivotal character in the band's history, unsure of the road ahead, trying to clean up the loose ends Syd left.

Hmmm...I was thinking that he looked more uncomfortable coz of the things he had to do, they were pretty idiotic, sp in that video. Weirder than a Beatles clip in 'A hard Day's Night'...
Like the part where they're playing 'imaginary cricket' or something? And they're all trying to catch the 'imaginary ball', and David's just there, trying to do the same, but with a completely clueless look across the face?
I even think he looks more concerned about his hair, during the whole video....
...and what's the deal with his running?? Who the hell runs like that?

I don't think they're tripped out...honestly, what they most look like is a bunch of kids, playing. And they're only in their early 20s Rick would've been somewhere around 22, I think, and the rest older or younger than that, so I think there might still be a bit of the little kid in each of them.

By the way...I think you in particular will appreciate this, Call. Have you ever noticed that little dance move Mr. Wright does, right at the very end of that video?
