Rush concert

Hey peeps,
I've never really been a Rush fan; however, I did want to give them a try on their Vapor Trails tour, and let me just say it wasn't all that bad. The only thing I had against the concert was standing in the rain. I honestly say I'm interested in their music now. Yet, I'm losing interest in a lot of types of music now. Just going through changes, I guess you can say.

Thank you

Yep,
Thank you very much. Been really busy with work and school. Haven't had much time for anything. Right now I'm listening to Piper at the Gates of Dawn while working as a phone host of my dorm. Not much fun, but its the easiest job in the world. Well, take care of yourself.
Cheers,

Re: Rush concert

I went to see Rush in Liverpool at the time of the Hemispheres album, they were pretty good but after Moving Pictures I sort of lost interest and I haven't heard any of their stuff for years.

Re: Rush concert

I've been a Rush fan since 1977, have seen all of their tours since 1980, and have all of their albums and CDs. The Vapor Trails tour was a good one, but not their best. Actually, the 1996 tour was a great one (they dusted off the entire 2112 for the show). Give them a listen - they're good!

Re: Rush concert

Yeah, saw them during their "Farewell to Kings" tour..."Signus X-1" was spellbinding. I don't know anyone who can hit the high notes like Geddy Lee (maybe he's been castrated, or something, I donno). For a 3-piece band, they put out alot of sound.

Re: Rush concert

Rush is just important to me as Floyd.
As a teenager, my older brother played Rush all the time, and i was hooked. i have seen them here in the U.S. many times, and would "camp" out to see them again.

A very well articulated and thought provoking response.

I saw Rush 3 times, but the show in Vegas was just awesome. They played the MGM Grand on a Saturday night and it was one of the greatest weekends of my life all around.

As one of the biggest Rush fans going, it's my duty to let you all know that they are releasing a DVD sometime late Summer of one of their last concerts on the Vapor Trails tour. It was in Rio de Janeiro with about 60,000 people in the audience. It will include interviews, behind the scenes stuff, etc....can't wait

I don't know about the castration thing, he can hit a lot of lower notes, too. He's got one hell of a range. Rush have become a new favorite of mine, but I do seem to prefer their latter stuff to the earlier albums. Maybe I'm just insane.

I've notice there aren't that many good fan sites for Rush, which, to me, sucks. Do any of you know any good Rush sites?

Bashers need not reply.
