| Hendrix - Machine Gun I've seen this solo once on a documentary, and thought it was pretty awesome. I have no idea what or where the concert was...and I just saw the solo mentioned in the "best guitar solo" thread. What is the best version of this song (because I'd like a copy)? (and feel free to discuss the song of course).

| Re: Hendrix - Machine Gun It was a performance at the 'Isle of Wight Festival' in 1970 It was a good performance, but not one of his best (in my opinion).You can get the dvd and vhs at amazon, or most music/video stores. I would definately reccomend it if you like the 'counter culture' movement in the late 60's and early 70's. It also includes great performances by The Doors, ELP, Family, Jethro Tull, Joni Mitchell, Free ect.

| Re: Hendrix - Machine Gun driven- by the way, guitar world released a "Jimi Live" special edition issue about a month or 2 ago. some great info on the isle of wight show among others (plus tabs in the back including machine gun). id suggest you order that
