Post death has never been so close...

i almost died in a car crash.. ive been listening to floyd for quite a while now, it almost all ive listened to, since it took over the beatles hehe.. anyway. i feel i need to say this, its still fresh in my mind and i want to share it. im driving my brothers and their friend home. there is a wood tick on my neck that distaracted me, a drifted into the other lane. when i noticed there was a car in the oncoming lane, i over corrected, swervered back and forth a few times, then went off the road to the right, and rolled three ****ing times. it was the scariest ****ing thing that ever happened to me. there was shit from the car all over the place. it is truly amazing that we all just got out of the car. thank god for seat belts. wear the damn things! but we were all so lucky, seat belts or not, we could have died so easily... i will never forget how it felt to hold the steering wheel and turn back and forth so wildly.. ill never forget the terror racing through my mind and the car slid into the ditch... and kept going.. over and over it rolled.. i held on tight, and then it finally stopped, right side up. i screamed.

after that all i felt was sick.

there were a lot of people around. in canada everyone stops. i got out and was sitting on the ground, crying... i thanked god that nobody was severly hurt. after that all i could think about was pink floyd. i wanted to be in bed, listening to DSOTM.. now, two days later, i havnt been able to listen to floyd much. i just cant.

That's some really crazy stuff. I've never been in a car crash myself, but my brother had a nasty one a few years ago. He was overtaking a lorry at the top of a hill and hit a car coming the other way head on. His car was recked and he cut his forehead pretty badly. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt though.

All the more reason for someone to go see a Psychiatrist, in my humble opinion.

Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome can be quite severe and acute. Get it checked out in any case...

What, your glasses or your psychiatrist?

I only wear my shrink on special occasions.
