1. DSOTM
2. WYWH
3. Animals
4. The Wall
5. OBC

Why? Because they are the 5 best.

Although AHM or Meddle could be in the No. 5 slot.

Pretty much the five albums from the "golden era":

Meddle, DSoTM, WYWH, Animals, The Wall.

In other news...methinks I need to hear OBC...specially if people are rating it over meddle.

For me, OBC edged out Meddle cause it has pretty solid songs beginning to end, whereas, Meddle fades fast after Echoes and One of These Days.

1. The Wall (Painfully blunt and honest songs. I think it's a masterpiece)
2. Dark Side of the Moon (Depending on my mood this is sometimes my favourite. It's incredibly beautiful and another masterpiece. Really, I would say it's joint top.)
3. The Final Cut (What can I say? It's so depressing yet so moving. I love it)
4. Wish you were here (SOYCD and the title track alone gives it a place in my top five. The other tunes are pretty damn good to.)
5. Animals ( All the songs, Dogs in particular are great. Just edges out Meddle because Echoes, despite being brilliant, doesn't earn it a place in the top five for me.)

It's just so hard to choose, but here's my watered down list. I'm also caught three way.

1. The Wall
1. DSOTM
1. WYWH
4. Meddle
5. Animals/The Division Bell- I can't decide

I don't think any1's mentioned Saucerful yet.

Hold the phone, pilgrim. Nobody said OBC rated over Meddle. In a "bad like AHM" to a "good like Meddle" comparison, I just said OBC was "good like Meddle." Not better. No way.

And I'd call it the Fabulous Five, incorporating the PF "Holy Trinity" of Meddle, DSotM, and WYWH flanked by OBC and Animals.

Hmm...I must be bored. Here goes:

1. DSOtM
2. WYWH
3. Meddle
4. OBC
5. 3-way tie between Animals, The Wall and the live Ummagumma - I cannot decide! I guess this is cheating....

1. Animals- So Biting, you can hear waters resentment in every note
2.Wish you were here-How does dave bend those cords that way? Title song has the best lyrics ever
3.Dark Side of the Moon-Probably most well rounded Floyd album, Time, Us and them and Brain Damage/Eclipse make it an automatic top three
4. The wall- Relatively Musicaly weak, the sheer quality of the lyrics make it great
5.Meddle- Echoes. Enough said

1. The Wall. I'm not really sure why it's number one; it might have something to do with being the first album by Floyd I owned, or perhaps that it was a gift from a girl I dearly loved, and still do. Or maybe it's just that Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell, Hey You, The Trial, and Another Brick pt. III just seem to ring wonderful bells for me.

2. Dark Side of the Moon. Beautiful. Utterly. Strong emotional ties to this one as well- I once kareoked (sp?) Us and Them during a class debate about war and peace. A classic Charlie memory. And Brain Damage/Eclipse is just plain beautiful.

3. Wish You Were Here. Shine On Pt. 1-5 is absurdly cool. It's great to hear their experimentation there with nonstandard rock. Welcome to the Machine is scary. Have a Cigar has my cynical tone in it. Shine On pt. 6-9... amazing, especially the amazing bit before the lyrics. And Wish You Were Here, of course, brings tears to my eyes. Literally.

4. Meddle. Primarily for One of These Days and Echoes, which I find utterly cool. The rest is somewhat mediocre, but is growing on me.

5. <- What goes here?!
