Well if you're not listening to the MFSL CD then the sound of the vinyl is bound to be a revelation.

Spot on. Plus I listened to it in-depth, plus I watched the movie a few times.

Personaly I hated the album 1st time I heard it but it's since grown on me. It's by no way their best work but it is an good album and well worth the work of getting into it.

On that note having already posted my top 5 Floyd albums here are my Top 5 that have grown on me or i have discovered having let them get lost in my collection.

1) Atom Heart Mother - this is a great album whislt not as cohesive as other albums it constantly throws up new ideas and the use of 'real' objects as sound effects, an intresting listen.

2) Ummagumma - And not just the live bit though that is great, but I think the individual members sections are also great with Gilmour's TNW pt 2 & 3 and SSOSFAGIACWAP shining tracks.

3) The Division Bell - Gilmour's guitar is fantastic and whilst not the concept album that Right hoped it to be still dose raise some thoughtful points.

4) Animals - I absolutly hated this album on CD it sounds like a half hearted filler between WYWH and TW but now I have it on LP I can hear it for the album it truly is which is a bloody good one.

5) A Momentary Lapse Of Reason - Overall not the best of albums however the highpoints are very good and it certaintly grows the more time you give to it.
