Roger Barrett and the 'gone blind' rumours

I have heard (admittedly in the form of a rumour) the Mr Barrett has gone blind due to the neglect of his diabetes? can anyone confirm or deny this?

Apparently the report that mentioned that was exaggerating and shouldn't be taken too seriously. He isn't blind, its just that he's prone to fits of depression which may have on one occassion resulted in him refusing to take his medication. I think that's over with now.

I heard this reported in the music press too, but that was a good few years ago, possibly back in 1996 or 97. Haven't heard anything since then.

I wish him good health though.

thank you for that, maybe that contributed to my post about how he should be left alone. But I do feel more comfortable knowing that you have my back just incase I forget how to read or suffer a moment of temporary insanity
