There's a guy who lives near us who me and my brother used to call Grimblegromble or sometimes Grumbleweed. Thought you might like to know. It doesn't help much I know.

I would direct you the the website of our own FloydWright:

http://www.angelfire.com/home/FloydW...loyd/main.html

just check the links to each member, and their equipment is listed in additional links.

Also, another link for Gilmour's equipment is:

http://web.tampabay.rr.com/richm/sbarchive.htm

Also, right here on APFFN interviews section there's a quick interview with Phil Taylor about Gilmour's gear: "Phil Taylor has handled David Gilmour's armada of guitars, amps, and other gear for 28 years. Here he details the gear used by the legendary guitarist while recording David Gilmour in Concert...."

Ball Bearings

i could be wrong, but i have heard from previous sites and friends that Dave used ball bearings between the strings in his guitars to make a certain sound, could some1 clarify this or back me up? or is this a rumor?

Question regarding Syd's gear

I'm hoping someone can help me out here because I am trying to prove a point to a friend who thinks he knows everything. Can anyone tell me any information regarding Syd's guitars. I am aware of his use of the Telecaster and of the Danelectro DC-2. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me (or better yet, direct me to a site stating) which of these 2 he used more especially in regards to his recording on Piper. My friend is telling me the Danelectro is used alot, whereas is all of my reading (countless articles and 3 biographies) I have found mention only of the Tele over and over. Thanks for any help anyone can give
