Favorite Touring year of Pink Floyd?

What is your favorite Floyd tour? from the 1st American tour to The Division Bell tour - which do you like the best?

My favorite would have to be In The Flesh 77. Better perfromances of my two favorite Pink Floyd albums: Animals & Wish You Were Here. Great encores & all. What are your favorites?

Hmmmm, a toughy..... I'd have to go with The Animals Tour in 77/78 only because that was the first time I ever saw the boys and I have such great memories of the show....... That wonderful pig....

Man, I envy you guys who got to see them live.

The Animals tour had to be awesome. I'd loved to seen "The Wall" too.

From bootlegs I've enjoyed, it would have to be around 1970, across Europe

Bit hard to say when you're born in 1978.

The Wall - 1980/1981

As mentioned someplace else, I arrived in the UK totally broke (brassic) with one week before the first set of London gigs for The Wall. I couldn't go. Devastated does not go far enough in describing how badly I felt about missing them. I could easily have been persuaded to open a vein.

A reprieve, however, arrived in the form of another set of Live shows for The Wall the following year. Did I go? You bet your sweet bippy I went, and a very excellent time was had too.

"Happier than a pig in sh*t," as my loquacious Dad would have said. Oh, how I smiled, how I beamed.

From the bootlegs I've heard, I think I'd like the 1972 and 1973 tours the most.

The 1972 shows would have been serious. But both Rog's and Dave's solo shows in 1984 were pretty cool as well. Then again, nothing would top seeing Syd perform onstage.

the atom heart mother-meddle-obc-bootlegs are just mind-blowing
i have many pink floyd-bootlegs but i prefer the 70/71-bootlegs to all the others because of the rich sound they produced and the great improvisations
