Try typing in "which ones pink" on Google and select "directory. You can also type in Pink Floyd cover bands and get a whole list of them. The best I've seen/heard on the internet is Which Ones Pink. They are based out of California and their guitar player nails Davids sound! I was very impressed. However, I doubt I will ever get a chanse to see them. Oh yeah, try tributecity.com They have a nice list of Pink Floyd cover bands also.

The Australian Pink Floyd are a great cover band.

www.aussiefloyd.com

They played at Dave Gilmour's 50th birthday party. I've seen them a few times, they really are good.

Well, if you can't see them live, most of the cover bands have some audio downloads on their web sites. As far as Floyd cover bands in your neck of the woods? I don't know. You'd just have to look. I've tried to find some downloads of the Ausie Floyd but have been unsuccessful in my search. But I have heard that they are pretty good. If my memory hasn't been completly lost. I think they performed for Floyd after their final show in 1994 at an "after-party".

The Machine makes its rounds up and down the East Coast of the USA. They are decent enough.

I've seen Australian Pink Floyd and The Floyd Experience (from NZ) and I'd have to say that, whilst the latter's bassist has more of a similarity to Jake the Muss, the sheer effort they put into it blows just about everything ( 1990 Metallica excepted) off of the stage.

Hey fixx! How the heck have ya' been? I haven't seen you post in a while. Maybe I just don't check often enough. Anywho, I've downloaded some sound samples/videos of some Floyd cover bands. And by those , I'd say "Which Ones Pink" (out of California) is the best. I've got them doing Time and it sounds really good.

tribute bands

The best I've found is The Surrogate Band, www.thesurrogateband.com. Check 'em out! They actually sing with British accents, and are much more detailed than the others.

There's some cover band in Champagne-Urbana (Ilinois) called Seeking Syd. I never heard them, but they're there, I guess.
