 New to Board Hi everybody. I'm new to this board. I've been a huge Pink Floyd fan for over a year now. I'm a 17/F, their music is just so amazing to me and I relate the lyrics and it calms my bad nerves. I love them so much. They're the best band ever to me.  Re: New to Board Thanks everybody for the kind welcomes! Let me just ask.. who's everybody's favorite member and why? I can't chose between Roger and David. David is an AWESOME guitarist, I mean, the best to me and he writes good songs as well. Roger is amazing, I mean, a lot of his lyrics I relate to. Like in Waiting For The Worms.. "in perfect isolation here behind my wall" That's so much like me, I just like to be alone and listen to Pink Floyd. I've been through a lot of stress in my life and heartache and abuse, and Pink Floyd and my boyfriend (who is also a Floydian) is the only things that got me through. I personally think that more people my age should like Pink Floyd, instead of that Pop and Rap bullcrap. That kind of music infuriates me. Reply back!

| Re: New to Board A lot of the time, I feel the frusteration that Roger expresses in his lyrics. animals is probably my favorite album, because I can sympathise with so many of the things he said. Wish you were hear seems to express the frustration I feel at the world that trys to tell me what to do, and dark side of the moon makes me think of how futile life can be sometmes. Dont like the wall or the final cut too much though, seem a little too self indulgent. Also your dam right, Pink Floyd for the new generation! Phucking rap

| Re: New to Board That's exactly how I feel. Yeah, don't get me started on Rap and that Pop crap. Pop is just a manufactured "music" on a computer to make billions of dollars off of a bunch of 9 year olds that think they're "hot" That disturbs me too much. I mean, it should be about the music, but they don't even write songs or play instruments! They let a computer do that. Some of my friends like Pop and I try to get them to listen to Pink Floyd, but they say it "scares" them. Easily scared, eh? It relaxes me. Pink Floyd has worked hard, I mean Dark Side of The Moon was on the billboard charts for 14 years. Lets see NSYNC or whatever their name is (they don't sing in-sync) do that.

| Re: New to Board Hello, again. What you said echoes a lot of what others here feel. The pop and rap thing is old hat by now, but someone out there someone enjoys it. Don't get angry because others don't enjoy your good taste. Let it be. Unless your talking about The Division Bell or the Beatles, than I can undertstand your frustration.
