I like the guitar greats like Hendrix, Clapton, and J. Beck.
I think there is already a 'favorite band' thread - use the 'search' feature before you post or you will be scolded harshly!

The Smiths are my absolute favourite band besides Floyd.

Other include The Police, Dire Straits, Led Zep, Icehouse, Simple Minds, Alan Parsons Project...i like loads of eighties stuff. Green Day and The Smashing Pumpkins are about the only 'modernish' bands I've ever been able to enjoy. I guess I grew old too quickly.

I also love Billy Joel, Paul Simon and Al Stewart.

Too many to name .....

It would have to include

Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler solo
Eric Clapton
Beatles (Plus solo works)
Stevie Ray Vaughan
John Hiatt
Ry Cooder
Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials
Albert "The Iceman" Collins
The Who (plus Pete T's solo efforts)

The list goes on and on...

Phew, this is a tough one, however aside from Floyd I would have to say The Dead, Zeppelin and Gov't Mule.
