Eurovision

G'day

What did you all think of the latest Eruovision song contest, and who was the best?

Estonia is my answer, with "the eighties coming back"

Wait, hang on a minute. You mean to say that you can watch the Eurovision Song Contest in Oz and what's worse, you actually watch it? :o

You may have guessed from my above questions that I did not (do not) watch the "show". It's too too awful really.

Yeah, I know it's crap, but I watch it for a bit of a laugh, we have special commentary in Australia by this guy who makes comments throughout it, it can get a bit annoying, but it can also be funny because he also realises it's crap.

We have a similar character here in Britain: Terry Wogan, a long-time BBC Radio DJ, who makes snide remarks throughout about everything and everyone except the Royaume Uni (UK) offering which only himself and maybe six or seven other people find funny.

But you're right. It's total crap.

We used to have good ol' Terry until this year, then we got our own guy.
Now being a European girl I watch it religeously. This year however it was particulary shocking. The English were completely out of tune for the first two verses, I think the chick even sang in the wrong key. The Germans once again not only made it a musical disaster but a fashion one as well.... We can see that white is in this year in Europe.. I liked the Belgian song the one that they sang in a made up language I also liked the cute Irish dude. The eighties coming back wasn't too bad either. The winning song was stuck in my head for a week very much to my annoyance

cheers

I'm so glad somebody finally admitted the UK's entrants weren't panned as a political backlash for Gulf War II, but because the performers were, on the day, utter shite.

I mean, not one vote, not a one. Usually even the Dutch will vote for the UK, if only just one point, but they got none. All down to the Gulf?

Why have you no hair on your head but loads on your chin? You look like you've got your head on upside down.
