Cult movies

All right put down your Cult movie faves. You know, none of that, "I really dug Stars Wars" crap, actual cult movies--as inspired by the lackluster effort of Entertainment Weekly.

My personnal fave is Cabin Boy, but that's because Chris Elliot is a genius and we should all pray to him.

Day of the Triffids This might be borderline. I may be the only person in the cult. But damn it, I like it.

There are a shitload of others that I just can't think of at the moment.

The Depster classic, Ed Wood wherein Martin Landau portraying Bela Lugosi stands near arc-ing electrostatic globes, and says "I'm not going near that godammed thing."

Plan 9 from Outer Space is an Ed Wood cult classic and is, IMO, not as bad as The Beast of Yucca Flats.

Ed Wood was a damn good flick, I'm not sure that is considered cult or not, but it is highly recomended.

I think it's more of a movie about a cult movie. Or something.

I'm not certain, but didn't Martin Landau win the Oscar for Best Male Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Bela Lugosi?

I've just checked Google <link> and in 1994, Martin Landau did indeed win the Oscar for best performance by a (male) actor in a supporting role.

Aren't I clever?

How about Peter Jackson's "Bad Taste"? If that's not a cult movie it should be.

I don't agree with every movie mentioned in this article as being 'cult,' but here's something of a working definition.
