hmmm, I remember a web site that gave you the "PF Tour of London" unfortunately I can't remember the address. It gave you driving directions to places like Battersea, the studios they used, etc.

Re: arround London

Welcome to London....now go home. (=just kidding)

There are, as far as I am aware, no dedicatd Pink Floyd stores in London.

The Virgin Megastore, the original, has always been on Oxford Street in the West End, near Tottenham (pron: tott'NUM) Court Road. I don't think I ever visited the Leicester (pron: Lester) Square store.

Enjoy,
Byron

p.s. Look out for the mean looking driver of the no. 24 bus as it heads north up Tottenham Court Road.

Re: arround London

Come on, Cheesus, why shoud Leicester be pronounced lie-sester-SHIRE? One's a city, the other's a county. Dumbhead.

Re: arround London

You're from the land of strange pronunciations matey, you tell me. The mere fact that you have to supply a guide to pronouncing English place names is highly telling.

Please note I didn't resort to name calling, it's cheap and unecessary. I'm very disappointed in you frankly ... oh sorry your name's Brian isn't it, not Frank.

Re: arround London

FYI, O Cheesy one, I provide helpful pronunciations for our New World cousins to save them the embarassment I suffered when mispronouncing words the English have had centuries of mangling into sounds not resembling the spelling thereof. I mean, only here - and maybe perhaps Australia - can Trottiscliffe be pronounced "Trosley" or Featherstonehaugh "fanshaw" or Grosvenor "grove-ner" or Cholmondesley <link> "chumly." Need I say more?

I clearly noted your omission of pejoratives, and duly apologise for using one at your expense, ga-ga features.

Re: arround London

We have weirdly pronounced names in Norfolk as well (let me say though I don't come from here originally).
For instance there's a place called Wymondham which is pronounced Wimdum. And another called Old Costessey which is strangely called Cosy.

I think I'm just getting confused since I forgot where it was. I mean the one with the prancing horses fountain outside, which is the one I usually end up at.
