My stare is blank,
eyes still see, yet cease to move.
My heart beat slow,
the blood can be felt with each pulse.
My ears are ringing,
yet refuse to hear the words of your spite.
My thoughts have cleared my mind,
at peace I am.
My skin still warm to the touch,
yet cold, again, to you.
Slowly, my eyes blink,
one final time,
The pain, finally leaving,
the rest I seek,
begins.
