Re: This is hard for me to admit

For years, well im only 16, but for a long time I've always been anti roger, and I happen to absolutely love The Division Bell. MLOR is average. But anyhow, i always had said that the Final Cut was terrible, though i didn't own it. Well last week I downloaded it. I must say, it would have been better had Gilmour been more involved(piano and Roger on every track gets to be a bit much), but it does indeed have some great songs, and, I think I'm gonna buy it.

Though I still think the Division Bell is fantastic, I've learned that I shouldn't be close minded to Rog's work.

"Hi, my name is GeddyJunior and I'm a Dave-a-holic."

Don't worry, Geddy, you've come to the right place.

Yeah, NNJohn, it's the cause of wars, famine and assorted varieties of murder-death-kill: just what we need in our lefty, tree-hugging world full of lovey-dovey peace freaks.

Yeuch! Bring on the murder-death-kill. (J/K)

Keep your pecker up, GeddyJr, there's lots more to discover. Tons.

Actually the correct term is "Gilmour-whore".

Re: This is hard for me to admit

lol.

I love TFC, and i like the Division Bell.

You find the difference between "love" and "like".

AMLOR can...

I've heard most of it, but i can't say i like it all that much. (AMLOR that is)

But i'm glad your becoming open minded GeddyJr.

Re: This is hard for me to admit

Yes Gilmour whore is right, but hey hes my idol i have to like everything he comes out with, except of course a new machine parts 1 and 2, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? I do think though that TFC is, or may be better than MLOR, in terms of music mind you.

Re: This is hard for me to admit

I really must remember to be careful how I use the English language around you North Americans: you can make something very rude out of most of my innocent aphorisms.

BTW, I am happy to re-affirm my status as a GW (Gilmour-whore), but one who is a tad more discerning than many others.

For me, not EVERYTHING he does is worthy of his many talents nor of my adoration.

Floyd on!
Byron

Re: This is hard for me to admit

It's Odd how you can talk like that about the gifted lead guitarist of pink floyd, than you Expect him to release an album FOR YOU, Crying out loud. I Doubt that if Mr. Dave Gilmour himself would have browse the web and find those messages on the forum, He wouldn't think The GW remark was that funny.

GROW UP PEOPLE!

Re: This is hard for me to admit

In respect of your seriousness, and opinion Yoav, let me say that i was merely pointing out a gramatical error.

And i'm not sure Dave would actually care that much - after all he does seem quite carefree after what i've read from his last 'gig'. I don't even know if he would waste his time on the babblings of us fans.

But again in respect to the man, however great he is, i do realize it is a bit of harsh treatment. As he is one of the greatest guitarists alive.
