| Echoes demo/outtake Hello. I'm big into the whole bootlegging scene. I have many concert bootlegs and studio-outtakes/demos and whatnot. Today I came across a Floyd bootleg tracking website. One bootleg titled "Games for May" listed this: 01. Echoes [20:20] - [Meddle Outtake] I've never heard of, or been aware, of an Echoes outtake. Has anyone heard it? If so, can you please describe what it consists of? My guess is that it is an unmixed version, but I'd like to be sure. I ask this because Echoes is my favorite song and any alternate versions would be great. |

| Re: Echoes demo/outtake As far as I know, no legitimate studio outtakes have surfaced from the Meddle sessions (except for those dubious "One of These Days" cut-up mixes) so it's probably just an early live rendition from 1971 masquerading as a demo.

| Re: Echoes demo/outtake Yeah, I have those "One of These Days" demos which may be fake. I have A Tree Full of Secrets, Total Eclipse, and a bunch of other bootlegs and I have never heard of an Echoes demo/outtake. That is why I was so surprised to see a supposed version of it floating around. I'll just assume that it's a live version, as you said. Thanks. |
