I don't know if you ever saw Witness, but in the beginning credits there is a shot of Route 30 and a Dairy Queen. That's it, just a Dairy Queen, no other businesses. Now, thinks to a local government who thinks the tourist trade is the best thing since, well, not having a tourist trade, it is all developped. Plus, they tore down the Dairy Queen the other year to put in a Waffle House.

That's been happening to a lot of areas where I live too. The area is being overdeveloped faster than people are moving to the area. Those damn casinos don't help much, either.
