first of all, i love pink floyd, they were my first musical obssesion which it lasted for 5 years. then i saw radiohead live, at which point they became my favorite band. it's hard to stay over excited about a band that has no new album, no new tour, etc.
they get compared alot because their music (of both bands) is experimental and atmospheric, as well as the best ever.

Radiohead are the new Floyd, end of story. They're the only band pushing the studio to it's limit. The only who you think, yeah, they're going to come out with something different.Something that avoids the RnB beat that everything has these days.I've always felt that the only band to pull off a modern day Darkside would be Radiohead. They have the Floyd idea and although I feel they'll only make one more album after the criticism they receive,I hope they go on,proving me right, cos god knows, music needs that nowadays.

firstly, pink floyd and radiohead sound nothing alike.
secondly, radiohead have made six albums.
thirdly, pink floyd progressed themselves creatively over time to become recognised as the phenomenon they are.
fourthly, radiohead have challenged themselves and their fans to get where they are today and IMO, will continue to do so.
finally, i dont believe anyone will be the new pink floyd, r that in 20 years time there will be a new radiohead.
this is the only comparison i make between the two.
