Radio edits of songs.

I was never a big Pink Floyd fan, mostly because I didn't like the songs on FM. One day I was listening to Shine on You Crazy Diamond on Sirius, and realized that it wasn't the 3-4 minute version I heard on FM, but heard the full 12-13 minutes and really changed it for me. I never realized that there was a really short radio edit of it. So my question:

what other Pink Floyd songs have a radio edit that takes out most of the music?

Re: Radio edits of songs.

They probably broadcasted parts 1-5 only, NNJ.

siriusatn67: welcome . As far as I know (not that far), there are radio edits of all three Division Bell singles (High Hopes, Keep Talking, Take It Back). Many of the Floyd's longer songs are never broadcasted in the radio. The radios choose their shorter songs, the "signature" tunes: for example Money, Comfortably Numb, Run Like Hell, Wish You Were Here, Another Brick In The Wall - Part 2. All of these songs are 4 to 6 minutes long.

Re: Radio edits of songs.

Let me clarify: I heard part 1 aka 1-5. Part two(6-9) was on The Vault's Long Summer Songs about 5 minutes ago, but I only had time to listen for several minutes. The 12-13 minutes was how long I was in my car for, and heard it the entire time. Pretty sure I heard most of the song. It just started when I turned on the car.

Re: Radio edits of songs.

The whole song is 25 minutes long, the Parts 1-5 are 12-13 and the same for Parts 6-9.
