Lyrics

Greetings! This is my first post on the board. I've been viewing this board for quite a while. I thought I'd register to post a lyric of mine. It's somewhat inspired by The Final Cut, the Gunner's Dream in particular.

Hope it isn't too amateur or anything!

INFINITE SPACES

They sat on their guns, and gazed into a devil's sky,
The benighted clouds hid the sun from their eyes.
A limited view for the desperate and deprived,
Nothing to remind them of a normal world outside.

Who knows where the universe halts,
It's times like these we stay abound.
Using all the space we can we arrive,
Our blood-stained ship set its ravaged sails for higher ground.

They wage their battles, in a desert landscape,
They can't see beyond their limbs.
Whether they're freezing or they singe, who gives a damn,
There is a wager with everybody's gold on them.

Who knows where the universe halts,
It's times like these I think this way.
Their shattered souls take up infinite miles,
While their blood-stained corpses wait for their moment in space.
