Re: DSOT or Pulse?

I could actually see an infomercial on at 3 AM trying to sell that...

I would pay well over 1000 dollars for that!

Well you don't have to! For 5 easy payments of 69.99 you can own this amazing collection!...

Re: DSOT or Pulse?

The PULSE Comfortably Numb solo is pretty hardcore, but it irks me that Roger doesn't sing the parts of the doctor. I don't really like the other guys' voice. David sings his parts tremendously, and plays a badass extended solo, but without Roger I can't quite see it being better than the other versions.

Re: DSOT or Pulse?

Yeah, the verses sound pretty bad with that bloated harmony.

Re: DSOT or Pulse?

DSoT just because I happen to like the songs on the Momentary Lapse of Reason dics with DSoT than I lilked the Division Bell stuff on Pulse, although I find the other two cd's of each to be almost equally as good.

DSOT or PULSE?

I'm really un descided. I like DSOT because it has brilliant songs like Learning To Fly; Sorrow; On The Turning Away. It had One Of These Days (Which the pulse discs did not) and a better version of 'Money' and 'Comfortably Numb'.

PULSE had extremely good lighting effects, but then again so did DSOT just not as good.

im probably 49% towards PULSE
51% towards DSOT

Re: DSOT or Pulse?

I'd choose DSoT because of the song list. Though I'd leave out ABitW2 cos it's so out of context on both cds!!!

You must have a really good cd player cos the lighting effects just don't come over that well on mine.

Re: DSOT or Pulse?

I love Pulse, so that gets my vote everyday of the week and twice on a Sunday, I can't believe that anyone could dislike the solo on CN, to me it's an utterly inspiring piece of guitar work - the big man at his finest. But, each to their own I suppose.

Pulse also has, IMO, the best version of SOYCD recorded. It was my introduction to the Floyd, so it has a sentimental value to me...

Re: DSOT or Pulse?

You're also overlooking the fact that DSOT is a bit crap! Also I can't listen to it without picturing all those mullet hairdos!!

Re: DSOT or Pulse?

I don't have a mullet, I can assure you of that. The fact that have eyes and can see means that it is impossible for me to seriously grow a mullet. If I did, I'd go blind (and not for the reasons you're thinking, you dirty-minded people).
