Anyone else got a piece of the Blimp?

Back in '94 Floyd had a blimp ...err AirShip all done up with DB artwork. Well as fate would have it, a storm came thru (not the one that designed it) and destroyed it. As any good marketer would do, they cut it up into little pieces and sold them off.

So, anyone else got a piece of the Blimp?

well i dont have the actual blimp or know much about it , i have a wooden poster of pink floyd like a forum poster or something i got it years ago , when they played at the olympic stadium , its been on my wall forever and i decided to see if it has value to it, you see a pink pig flying over the olympic stadium with a bit of the stadium crashing down , there are people and such in the picture . i duno if it has any intrest to you but reply , maybe you know someone who knows something about it , your help would be greatly appreciated ! thanx ! and maybe i can post a picture of it ?!

yes i got one too. it's into a laminated kinda business card. my cousins gave it to me as a birth gift. i think he get it from the echoes forum at the time. i have to admit i forgot about that piece of the Blimp tho. it's in a drawer of old photographs hidden away....

I have several pieces. I was living in Elizabeth City when the blimp was destroyed. (1550 East Williams Circle Near the River). My daughter was working for a company (IXL I think was the name) that made furniture in the other "blimp hanger". Her drive to work took her right by where the blimp was tied. The next morning after the occurence she stopped and gathered several pieces. I still have. I'd like to sell some of these. I can get my daughter to write a letter of authenticity. I don't remember it being a storm as much as a freak gust of wind. I hace scanned a photo and will be happy to email it to anyone interested (no charge).
As a side note I will add that while I was still living in EC, the blimp hanger that was servicing the Pink Floyed Blipm burnt to the ground. That made national news. It was one of the largest wooden structures in the world.

Hello I am new to this Forum and have been a huge fan of Pink Floyd for along time. Ive seen them play in Meadowlands in the 90's and it was awesome. I join and write today because I have one of these pictures and description of what happened that night when the "airship" went down and it has a piece of it attached(in blue). I will include a picture of it as it hangs on my wall framed. I did research this item awhile ago and learned that these went out as numbered pieces. Now mine was given to me from an employee of the Airship International LTD as payment for working on his Suzuki GSXR1100 while I lived in Orland Florida. It does not have a number attached, but does have a piece of the airship. When he found out I was a fan he was more than happy to hand over this cool piece. Not to say I wouldnt part with it, but it does look great on my wall Enjoy
