Another Useless VH1 List

VH1's latest pointless and trivial best of list: 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons:

At number 147:

At number 132:

At number 93:

At number 45:

At number 12:

How Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake ranked higher than Led Zepplin and Bob Dylan sickens me beyond words. WTF? The Osbournes at number 40? Such a silly daft list.

Anyone watching this?

Edited to add the link:http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/the_gre...vent_id=865274

J-Lo at #15,

What is she famous for actually? Has anyone actually enjoyed any of her movies or music? I am atheist, but I question whether this woman had a deal with Satan himself...

(who votes on these...?)

Why Cartman?? They should've put Kenny!!!

Even Arsenio made the list! (I'm glad Beavis and Butthead are above him, anyway; now those are icons!)

I like you Call. You're the only one being nice to me on this board. I've been called everything from a troll to a 14 year-old janitor to stupid.

Let's stick together mate.

(*??...*wonders when have I ever been nice to anybody else*)

Geez, i'm not exactly the most lovable person, either. But in the end, you just have to build yourself a fortress, and keep a couple of cannons handy.
After 'feelings' are suppressed, you cabnstart treating ohers like dirt at you own will, and have a laugh. That's what I do, anyway.

Well now, I'm told that there were many outside influences involved in the making of this list, such as The History Channel, and A.M.C. So it's not just the Vh1 behind this. And I guess when you look at the definitions listed at VH1 below, it does make some sense. I just can figure out why the hell Oprah is number 1. Now that makes no sense!

Taken from www.vh1.com...
What makes an “Icon?” It’s not enough to just be famous or to have won a couple of awards. You have to pass one or more of the following criteria:
Do they pass the one-name test?

Can you dress up as them for Halloween?

Did they blaze a trail in pop culture?

Did they create a signature character in pop culture?

Can you quote them, or their character, in 10 seconds or less?

Did society imitate their sense of fashion? Hairstyle?

Did “SNL” create a sketch satirizing them?

Did someone write a song about them?

Was or is there merchandising or paraphernalia that bears their image?

Can they be connected to Kevin Bacon?

Anythin' associated with TV is a joke.
Issa' god damn conspiracy. Over actin', over drama, Lies, Fillin' the heads of our precious youth with sleazy dirtbag idols and twisted product propaganda.
Well They certainly are not foolin' me, no Sir. I've got my eyes on them. Big shot TV Producers with their millions of dollars, Fast cars, Fancy Shmanzy home entertainment system, Remote Control fire place, Fake Breasted Wives, SWISS Cheese, Those Super Expensive Nuts that you only get 5 of in the assorted package. And Most of all deciding whats allowed and what's not allowed.
So What do we have?
Radio Stations blocking out the word Drug, Fear of conciquence, 13 year olds running around holding hands claiming to have found the love of their life and Brittney Spears In a bikini suit With white stains on her chin.

Issa' God damn Joke.

Shittiest list yet, might I say. Sure, it was within bounds to make '100 Best Records Ever Made', but this one? Who has the seeming authority and audacity to do so?

Beatles at #12? Bowie at #144 or something similiar? Out of whack, this is.
