Hail all musicians! I need your Know-how!

1. Hey does anybody know what kind of effect Waters uses on the 2nd last movement on SOYCD Part 2 (on the WYWH album, NOT Echoes) to make that sort of Overdriven-Envelope filter (???)effect. I'm not sure of what kind of petal he uses or if it's just Rick Wright.

2. Does Dave use MXR Phase 90?

3. Can you still get Hammond Organs?

thanks.

Yes, Dave uses a a MXR Phase 90. Yes, Hammonds are available. Some stores are even dedicated in selling those beauties. And I believe that he uses an ENVELOPE FILTER for bass to get that rythm tone.

meddle_echoes: Could you describe in detail what kind of envelope is used for the filter? Maybe make an ASCII diagram of it or something?

1. If the bass sound you're referring to is that tinny, melodic line that is present, then that is Rick Wright playing the lower end of a Hohner Clavinet a-la Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition'.

2. Yes.

3. Yes, but B3s/C3s aren't made any more and therefore will cost you a lot of money to buy.
