OK we've made some changes... thanks for all your feedback by the way...

We have the final line up for the show, we are actually on third... not the opener (cool).
The "Headliners" are... (grab your boot straps)..(sitting down??)....Three Dog Night......(or what's left of them)...

Anyway we've added some old Fleetwood Mac and BTO (thanks Stratman) and dropped Hootie....not that I don't like Hootie, I do....it just didn't fit the venue...

1) F***ing in the Bushes.......Oaisis
2) Behind Blue Eyes...............The Who
3) Get Back.............................The Beatles
4) My Wife..............................The Who
5) Eminience Front..................The who
6) Get Ready...........................Rare Earth (cover version).
7) I'm so Afraid........................Fleetwood Mac
9) Blue Collar...........................Bachman Turner Overdrive
10) Go All The Way..................The Raspberries
11) Teenage Lament '74..........Alice Cooper
12) Suite Madama Blue............Styx
13) Soulshine...........................Gov't Mule

Any additional comments welcome.

Oh man I loved thoes guys too. ...... In the '70's . Actually Michael Alsup was a huge influence on my playing in the "formative years". I spent many many hours working on Liar, In Bed, Mama Told Me Not to Come and It Ain't Easy when I was 13 or 14.....

I never thought I'd be sharing a stage with them... I don't know if it's because I've gotten that good (NOT!) or they've fallen so low......

Either way.. I better work on my TDN chops. Ya never know, I may get to play with them......

Geeze,, another 20 years maybe I can share a stage with Rog....

I'm not sure Rog will be on a stage in twenty years, truth be told.

Hey, that's cool. Three Dog Night and all.

Too bad Chuck Negron will not be with them. His story is poignant. Another "Us and Them" tale.

Anyway, congrats. The set list looks good.

Kick ass!

Yea..Chuck's story is a real tragedy, but the last I heard he was turning things around, got clean and found a good woman to watch his sorry a$$.

That was couple of years ago though.. dunno if he's relapsed.

3DN just wouldn't be the same to me without him.....

It should be great for you to meet Alsup.

OK..time for follow up

The show was Friday night. in short

WE KICKED ASS!!!!

Our set started about 7:15 , we played till 8:10. The two openers were OK. One band "Driven" I've known for a bit, like'em. We played the set listed above on this page, pretty much as written. We did take the opportunity to jam quite a bit.

About the time we got to Emminience Front the crowd was beginnig to build (it was getting darker) , and i noticed a bit more activity in the wings. At first we just though it was the next act getting ready.

When we started "I'm so Afraid", one of my stomp boxes screwed up, so I turned to fix it and was greeted by a big smile from .....Michael Alsup ....gulp!

He, Cory Wells and Jimmy Greenspoon from Three Dog Night had come out to listen....

As we got to the solo in "Afraid" I looked over at Alsup, he was all smiles, and motioing for me to crank it up....That's all I needed...fortunately my fingers and guitar were working well that night... I've never had a standing ovation before... I about fainted...

After the set was over they greeted us backstage and said they really enjoyed our set. We all about died.. We are supposed to be their fans..right??

There was one band between us and TDN. We did get to chat a bit, had a couple of beers and jam....They are all great guys. Just a bunch of musicians that love to play for a crowd.... just the same as my band.. I bet they get paid more though.

What a night.

Someone let Rog and Dave know we are available to open for them if they needs us..
