Hmmm, they smeared some deadening gel on mine before catheter insertion, but getting back to my point and related to yours... The worst pain was not having the 5-inch screw removed from binding my leg bones back to my ankle, but the novacaine shot to the ankle before having the screw removed. THAT was the most pain! I suspect natural childbirth for a woman still beats anything us guys can come up with.

I've seen some female anatomical discrepancies which have left even my experienced female counterparts flabergasted. Hence why I prefer cathing males... it's a lot simpler. ![]() You think that's bad? I've known a girl who had trouble putting a cath on an uncircumcised male - she retracted the foreskin but forgot to roll it back out once the Foley was in. Result - contracture. The foreskin became a deathgrip on the head of the penis. Excruciating pain and instant surgery but not before damage to the penile tissue around the area (plus an involuntary 'circumcision' and a healthy infection of the bladder). That man is gonna feel weird everytime he gets excited for the rest of his life because of those patches of denervated tissue. ![]() And yes, I've seen people yank the stuff out even while the balloon was inflated - and then proceed to try and yank their PICC (Peripheraly Inserted Central venous Catheter - it's a large bore IV whose tip rests in the Vena Cava). Dude is about 5'8" and weighs in around 600 lbs.... took 6 people to subdue him while the resident injected loaded syringe after syringe after syringe of tranqs (obesity affects drug absorption. You'd need an elephant sized dose to knock these guys out)..... and all these tranqs naturally made him unstable - with the resultant side effect of respiratory depression and bradychardia approaching sinus arrhythmia... so he was then rushed into the ICU to stabilize his heart. All in all, a normal day ![]()
