I know that Mother (the dear Gal, may god bless her soul) was an avid fan of Linux, I must admit that lately it appears I will head in the same direction. So, are there any other Linux users out there?

What can you tell me? Is it worth it? Are there compatiblity issues? Will I be able to find something to replace Windows Media Player (not that it is even worth replacing at this point)?

Anyways, talk amongst yourselves.

Re: Linux Users

I'm no expert but I have tried Mandrake Linux and Suse Linux pro on my pc and I couldn't get my internet connection to work on either of them. You may find you have trouble getting hold of drivers for some of your hardware like I did, I t was easier to stick with windows in the end. Most distributions are packed full of software alternatives to windows programs, ( I think Kaffeine is the replacement for media player but there are others). There are some forums for newbies and reviews on different linux distributions here
