| Re: Underrated/overlooked/unappreciated guitarist David Gilmour!!! the latest Rolling Stone has a cover story 100 Greatest Guitar Songs,Solo's and Riffs...Comfortably Numb and Dogs didn't even make the list, what a fuckin' joke ...the only Floyd to make it were #36 - Interstellar Overdrive #69 - Money I can't argue with most of the list comprised of Zeppelin,Clapton,Santana,Hendrix,et all...but,the Floyd snub and including such crap as Michael Jackson and My Morning Jacket it's no wonder the magazine has lost any credibility if it had any...

| Re: Underrated/overlooked/unappreciated guitarist I haven't seen the list, but I actually rather dig Eddie Van halen's work on MJ's Thriller album. I have found that such lists are usually lopsided with the usual "classics"--meaning overpraised, overrated old guitar players-- and newer musicians who seem to get spots based on the fact that they are fresher in the authors' minds. I stopped paying attention to magazine lists along time ago--they are the written medium's version of television's clip shows.
