Re: Pink Floyd DSoTM EPK

i think we'd all be better off without it anyway. i mean, it just gives us less reasons to waste time on the computer. which will lead us to more productive htings, such as writing music, listening to music, buying music, playing music.

Shh! Don't tell anyone you got it from me, but try this address:

I don't know if this makes the mods uncomfortable or anything, but there it is. It has the supposedly RIAA-safe filters and firewalls and blockers and whatnot.

Re: Pink Floyd DSoTM EPK

Don't worry guys, the RIAA have been sending out threatening letters since the days of Napster. My friend got one maybe two years ago, threatening court action, and they've done nothing to him since, even though he didn't stop trading music online.

Methinks it's only a scare tactic. I've only heard of the RIAA seriously targeting the people who run the programs, such as this big court case with the owners of Napster that happened a little while ago.

Additionally, I have been running Kazaa Lite for just about 8 months now, and haven't got threatened yet. Nor has it given me any PC troubles.

So you can breathe a little lighter,

-Shane

Re: Pink Floyd DSoTM EPK

Actually the RIAA recently announced that they're going after users now.
I think I read somewhere that for some dumb legal reason or something, they can only sue users who give away music, not users who just download it. I'm not sure why that would be, and I could be wrong, but I believe that's it.

Re: Pink Floyd DSoTM EPK

I've been reading articles of college students who have been getting sued for sharing music. And I'm agreeing with Gerald on this one; only users who are sharing music are at high risk for getting in trouble with the RIAA.

Re: Pink Floyd DSoTM EPK

i just deleted kazaa of fmy computer.

if it weren't for the people who rip cd's and put the files on kazaa there'd be no file sharing. so i can understand that.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the correction.

Additionally, it was about time I deleted Kazaa off of my PC. I never use the damn thing, what with a 56K connection and all.

Yee-Ha! Let us all purge our computers of the evils of P2P programs! I feel squeaky clean already!

Re: Pink Floyd DSoTM EPK

After so many years of use on Kazaa and Napster and WinMX, don't you feel disconnected when you delete it? Now you're not part of a whole network; a renegade; a freelance looking for a place to download in peace. At least we have each other on this forum!
