Fave version of CWTAE

Hey all you Floyd fans! So what's your favourite version of Careful With That Axe, Eugene... I thought it would be a good poll since there's only a few versions.

I chose Pompeii, even though "Come In Number 51..." off of Zabriskie Point is very similar, only done in the studio.

... and yes, I mispelled the title in the poll ... should be T before A :P

Now that the Pompeii DVD is out, I just thought it would be appropriate for me to resurrect this thread and see what happens.

ummagumma live is way better, the one on relics is kind of weird and too drawn out. The live one has some serious energy.

To further update my previous post, I still go with the ummagumma version after hearing the Pompeii version. There is something different about the Pompeii version that's kind of weird, maybe it's too drawn out.

The best live version IMHO is the Ummagumma version, as I have various versions on ROIOs - to me, it seems that after The Band of Gypsys released the album with 'Machine Gun' on Dave Gilmour decided to try and emulate Jimi's hammer-ons on every subsequent version of 'Careful...' as every post 1970 version I've heard sounds very much like the Pompeii...

The best studio version in 'Come in no51 your time is up'!
