I HAVE heard ITF and it is dam good. By the way, in response to a post on pg. 1, WTTM on WYWH was originally sung by Roger (lead) with Dave providing the low harmonies. But I agree that it would have benefited on ITF with Jon Carin or someone like that harmonizing with Roger.

No, you can't. In the Flesh still rules supreme; it's the best complete live show anyone in Pink Floyd have yet released.

Re: ITF vs. TWIB When the show was announced (The Wall In Berlin), I was pretty excited, not because I could go to Germany (no East Germany or West Germany, that was weird in itself), but because I bet my friends that it will be a video soon. The moment it was issued, I bought the vinyl, CD and VHS tape and loved it. The sheer scale of the performance, the former communist brass bands and orchestras, a bunch of musician friends helping out for a charity, very moving and impressive looking. And the whole purpose of the show contributed to the emotion behind it. In The Flesh was a retrospective celebration of a career while Live In Berlin was a theatrical presentation resurrected for a 'good cause'. ![]() So bloody hell, I enjoyed it and still do from time to time. The show was tight and all the performers did what they do and all concerned were happy. It wasn't a case of doing a proper Wall presentation and casting for the perfect actor/singers for each part. It was a get together of a bunch of folks with a desire to 'make a difference' and as a result we got the "star studded extravaganza" version of the wall. Not the definitive performance of The Wall. And it should be enjoyed as such! Hah! heh! eh? Huh? Hmm.... There's no one around here to argue with anymore. Bloody Hell! Hello? Hello? Hello?....

Re: ITF vs. TWIB Poor Daphne Blue... I wish it were 7 years ago when a post such as this one would have brought several Floydians to agree and disagree with you. I'm afraid the social network scene has left the APFFN as a resource for Botley's knowledge and not too much more. I enjoy the threads you are resurrecting, and I may resurrect a few more tonight.

Re: ITF vs. TWIB Both of these are amazing. Live in Berlin marks a very important time for Germany. And Rog's international live broadcast with greats like Michael Kamen, Brian Adams, Cindi Lauper, and And Sinead O'Connor(even though she was not on the live broadcast, only the DVD) And then In the Flesh, which marked a very important time for Roger Waters. The show was a masterpiece. Aside from Waters( of course )Snowy White stole the show. And there was Doyle Bramhall II. That was the guy with the turquoise necklace. His unique showmanship accented the stage quite nicely. All in all both of these performances take my breath away, and there is no way I could put one above the other. Sorry.
