I just picked up a copy on DVD of the "60's comedy classic

"It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World". (Phil Silvers, Spencer Tracey, Mickey Rooney, Buddy Hackett, Syd Ceasar...funny funny stuff)

There is one scene where Ethyl Mermam is traveling in the back of a tow truck, arms crossed, big hat blowing in the wind.........I now know where Gerald got the inspiration for Mother....

I heard that Rat Race is based on that movie. If it is as funny as Rat Race, I'm definitely getting that one. The only thing that shames the whole film is the ending with Smash Mouth. My friends dad actually walked out on that part the shame was so strong!
