Cool This Summer...

What concerts to you plan to see this summer?

Here is a list of people who are going on tour or are currently on tour:

Peter Gabriel
Coldplay
Radiohead
Porcupine Tree ( )
Dream Theater (with queensyrch...ack...)
Jethro Tull
Mogwai
Fleetwood Mac
Steely Dan
Pink Floyd (just kindding...)
Led Zeppelin (or so i've heard...)
Neil Young
Crosby Stills and Nash

Any more?

Coldplay is coming here on May 30th, what do you think? Are they a good band? I've heard thier latest album, and I thought it was pretty good.

I'm definetly going to try and see: PG, Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater and Mogwai. Perhaps Coldplay, depends I have to listen to more of thier music first.

Yeah, my best friend is going to that. I think Beck is supposed to be there? It sounds cool anyway.

Re: This Summer...

YS8, where did you get the information about Porcupine Tree's tour? I don't see any US tour dates on their website...not that they ever tour in the southern US anyway....

Re: This Summer...

I'm going to see Radiohead if they come here. And other bands I like, if they show up. I'm going to see Ministry in town on the 20th of next month. They're pretty good.

I read somewhere that they were going to start a US tour in July, I believe that they are in Europe right now...

PG would be worth seeing if he wasn't such a miserable git. With a silly beard.

Re: This Summer...

As the best band that's coming to Finland is maybe Manic Street Preachers or Zwan (whoo-pee?) my concert experiences are going to be quite slight this summer... Maybe I check out some local bands but that's all. I'd love to see Radiohead though but I can't afford travelling abroad right now

And to youngsteinbeck:

Speaking with Music Week magazine, Jimmy Page discusses the upcoming dvd and once again dismisses a Zep reunion: Asked whether work on restoring footage had re-ignited his desire to play the material live again, Page quipped: "On my DVD player. And that's what I would recommend everyone else did, and not hold their breath for anything else."

so led zep are not going to tour... which is good I think as their 80's reunions were quite awful
