The Increasing Number Of Terrible Bands

I've been noticing for a long time at how many bands today have no talent. Most songs today are all about a girlfriend or boyfriend or how people hate everything and want to kill themselves. I find it kind of disturbing because it seems like bands are running out of ideas. I don't know if anybody else has been noticing this over the years but it's getting old.

Yeah....check out my Songwriting Frustration thread for more about that. I don't mean to hijack yours, but they kind of have the same basic idea. I really hate pretty much anything played on MTV, and I especially hate Good Charlotte. Makes me shudder just thinking about it.

I could dig that, though it might just be wishful thinking. I can't survive through enough of their "music" to get a good idea.

Re: The Increasing Number Of Terrible Bands

Songs about boyfriends and girlfriends were started long ago. They are only being translated into today's generation.

Re: The Increasing Number Of Terrible Bands

i don't have a problem with lyrics about girlfriends and boyfriends, i just have a problem with the fact that im 16 and a better musician than most of these new bands. There are a few good ones though. Audio Slave is quite good and Queens of the stone age are both really good IMO.

I seriously considered making a new username so my post count would have stayed at 666 forever, but I decided against it.

Awww, too bad.

Anyways, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, someone must be liking these bands. And shitty music is nothing new, for every Amadeus, there must have been a Backstreet Boys equivalent.

My goal has been to reach 1000 posts before school starts back up for me, and there was no way i'd be able to do it starting from zero with a new user name.

Pffft, post counting is for losers. No offense to you, but it really means nothing.

A little bit narcism there..(just a thought)

Increasing numbers of terrible bands means increasing numbers of terrible music listeners. It's all about taste
For me, if you don't like it don't listen to it and don't give a damn about it and it will never bother you

Please, before you post a new thread use the search feature conviniently placed on this site. It will perhaps link you to many discussions similar to this one and therefore prevent duplicates.
