Favorite song on Dark Side of the Moon?

i went with "us and them" because a few years ago, my friends and i would get stoned and drive around looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve. that may sound harsh to some people, but its one of my fondest memories as a teenager, being with my friends, feeling fuzzy, laughing at nothing at all, seeing the sites of Christmas and listening to DSOTM. back then, it couldnt get any better.

I always include 'Any Colour' with 'Brain Damage' and 'Eclipse' since they go so well together.

They get my vote. 'Time' is a close 2nd, followed by 'Us & Them', 'Great Gig' and 'Breathe'. 'Money' is dead last!

I picked Any Colour You Like. I could play that song for half an hour on the piano! I just improv off of the chords.

I love the whole, but if I really have to choose, it'd be Time, Breathe or Great Gig.

Sorry if I sound blasphemous, but while I like the whole album, too, the one song I can't tolerate on it is Us and Them. I don't know why, but I don't like that song very much. It just keeps going on and on and on and there's not much varation in it.

I'd have to say its pretty close between great gig in the sky and brain damage/ eclipse...i'm not going to vote quite yet...

I had this feeling too a bit, but then I've heard an early live version with the sounds of somebody very hurt crying and waining and it turned out to be one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. I wish they'd put that sounds on the album too, but they probably thought that would be too morbid, as with The Mortality Sequence.
