Re: Planet Mars close

Hi Vera, I consider myself well versed on astronomy, I didn't see any, but i thought i'd take this opportunity to thank you and especially straters for this thread. The leoniod shower is the best, you can see 60 to 100 in a minute! I'd like to make a mini observatory, starting with an 8" schmidt cassegrain, ccd optical fed to my computer with ac/dc drive and control. The pinnacle for me would be to work it up to a 12" inch, the galaxy's come in great on a 12, plus the nebulae ob with the 12 is breath taking. Cheers to all observers!

Re: Planet Mars close

BTW, Mars, I think, was the Roman God of war, and suprisingly enough, mars has a tendency to cause humans to do very strange things! Espicially when it's close to earth, look up strange events vs. where mars was at that time, you'll be suprised! Mars was close last year, then iraq war within 6 months! These events can be found throughout history.

Waters, you are welcome here.

Second total eclipse of the moon, last night.
Who saw it?
Here clouds only.

The Red Sox also broke the curse last night during the eclipse, Vera, but you probably don't care.
