Coming Back To Life.

The song means the world to me. A while back, the girl I dearly loved gave me the boot and refused to take me back because I don't choose to believe in God. I went into a deep depression. When I came out of it, this song described exactly how I felt. Even the solo "describes" how I felt succintly. (something that is mighty great about the guitar work of BDG, wouldn't you say?)

"I took a heavenly ride through our silence. I knew the moment had arrived for killing the past and coming back to life."

The words that I could never have put to paper. Thank you, Dave.

Anyway, I'm done with my melodrama. My apologies.

You've caught me red-handed showing feelings of an almost human nature, I'm afraid.

It is one of his most amazing abilities. His solos always "speak" to me in ways that lyrics cannot possibly.

dude, high hopes is probably one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard...the idea of it being a dedication to rog really touched my heart/ it to me is almost as insightful into the relationships of the members, you know between gilmour and waters, as shine on you crazy diamond is into the feelings towards syd.

I agree high hopes is the best song from the last two very bad albums, but it isn't about Rog.

Re: Your favorite song from either of the two latest cds in terms of lyrics only?

Wearing the Inside Out is easily the most powerful to me, in terms of lyrics...this is a song that helped me keep hope in a very difficult time, when there was really little else that helped. And it is still very powerful to me, because I identify so deeply with the story. And, I am grateful that this song was there when I needed it (and still is, of course).
