Has anyone here seen this concert?
How was it?

I wasn't able to see it (damn) but i heard it was pretty good - how were the vocals and stuff, sometimes their freaky when they're not what we're used too!

Anyway - about the CD for this - i haven't seen it ANYWHERE except the roger waters.net site.

The cover is OK - but it's not that good, i mean - it has the Dark Side of a Moon on it - come on really now - and it's all animation and stuff.

Whatever - how's this CD?
just wondering!

I HAVE THE CD'S, AND I MUST ADMIT THAT THEY ARE AMAZING ... THERE ARE A LOT OF
APPLAUS NOISES ON IT, BUT IT DOESN'T BOTHER
ME. 'MOTHER' IS REALLY GOOD, 'SHINE ON' IS
(HOWEVER SOME PEOPLE SAY IT ISN'T) VERY GOOD AND 'DOGS' SIMPLY ROCKS THE HELL OUT OF YOU.
'BRAIN DAMAGE' IS FUNNY IN SOME WAY, 'TIME' AND 'MONEY' GOT A GOOD FRESH LICK AND 'IN THE
FLESH' IS EVEN MORE POWERFULL AS ON THE 'IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE? THE WALL LIVE' CD.
THE TWO SONGS FROM 'THE FINAL CUT' ARE MUSICALLY ABOUT TEN TIMES BETTER, 'WISH YOU WERE HERE' IS SUNG DIFFERENTLY BUT GOOD, AND 'SET THE CONTROLS FOR THE HART OF THE SUN' IS SUPERB. 'EACH SMALL CANDLE' IS O.K., 'BREATH' AND 'CONFORTABLY NUMB' AND THE SONGS FROM 'AMUSED TO DEATH' ARE ALSO O.K., BUT THEY SOUND JUST LIKE ON THE ORIGINAL ALBUMS. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST:
'THE HAPPIEST DAYS OF OUR LIVES' AND 'ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL, PART 2' ARE
GOOD AS ALWAYS.
AGAIN, THE CD'S ARE AWESOME!!!!

Cool - where'd you pick these up?

I don't do much of any buying of the net.
So Harmony house? err - i haven't seen it anywhere! And i'd like to pick it up!

A mute reminder of the poppy fields and graves...

In the Flesh can be picked up at any good music store. I'm not familiar with the US music stores, but HMV is very good.

I travelled from the UK to New York just to see In The Flesh. I went with massive expectations and he managed to exceed them.

Unlike David Gilmour, Roger delivered excellent vocals. However, he was helped out by other members of the band.

I've seen Roger Waters live several times and this was the best with an amazing carnival atmosphere from the start. My one criticism of the CD recording is that it does not include enough of the overwhelming audience reaction.

Anyone know when the DVD will be released ?

Someone told me they didn't release the Pulse DVD yet because there was a big deal between two record companies, and they weren't trying to work it out. So we fans pay the price for having to wait for it for several months (or years!).

I've seen some VideoCD versions of Pulse for sale on eBay, though. Not sure if they're any good, seem they are official. VCDs can be played on most DVD players and on your computer, and have worse quality that DVDs, but better than VHS tapes. Might be something worth looking into.

The latestofficial news on the In The Flesh DVD are from Sep. 21st, mentioning the release date is TBA (To Be Announced).

Cheers,
Paulo

Hey, I could probably join the conversation. I don't speak it, but I'd like to fake it so everybody else thinks I'm some kind of linguist and think very highly of me.

Ha ha Charade You Are...

Any Floyd fan, whether a Waters or Gilmour supporter, should get In The Flesh. It is simply the best Floyd related thing around. Far better and more emotional than Pulse !

I went to go see Rog when he was here, in Hershey, PA. It was a great concert and my only regret is that I didn't catch it on videotape. If anyone has one of these concerts on video let me know i'd appreciate it.
