Animals or WYWH?

Finally! Someone else that has seasonal albums!

I figured.

i halft to say Animals is one Of My Favourite Pink Floyd Albums.
But not far behind is WYWH.

Every song on Animals is a 10/10, while WYWH has 4 10/10's and an 8.2/10(Welcome To The Machine). Though WYWH does have SOYCD, which is better than anything on Animals, I'll still have to go with Animals.

To me, Animals is just more emcompassing of the world today. It is music with a purpose, a social outcry. While Wish You Were Here is a brilliant album, with Shine On as one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs ever, Animals, with Dogs, Pigs, and Sheep, gives a warning about what society could become. Animals is just a deeper album.

Arg, this is a really hard one, and in fact, almost impossible. Maybe the hardest, after Dsotm and wywh, or dsotm and animals, haha I'd prefer not to think about that :P

The album that is growing on me the most, is clearly Animals, from beeing a good album to an Imortal one. But still, i just cant let wywh, shine on and have a sigar loose, they've just been with me for so long, and the fact that it was my really first PF album, just speaks for itself.

WYWH for me.

Animals is definitely number one for me. Dogs is my absolutely favorite Floyd song of all time. It has everything that made them who they are. The concept, the lyrics, the riffs, the epic scope, Dave and Roger singing. It just can't be topped. Pigs is also quite a rocking song. Sheep's opening is one of my favs, Wright did an amazing job with it.

Very difficult to choose.

WYWH has the melancholy and Animals the angst. Probably I'll like one or the other more depending on the mood I am. But, in terms of sound, I prefer Animals (I love the guitars in "Dogs", all of them).

Animals. Wish You Were Here was great, but I go with Animals, very much like Animal Farm. Love the disturbing images created by Sheep —

Things like that. I've noticed that most of Pink Floyd's stuff you have to view as an album...melds into each other...Animals doesn't, really. I can look at each song on it's own. Dogs' guitar thing is awesome, too...

Tough question! Both albums are my number 1 and 2 favourites from PF. I gotta go with WYWH by a hair. Animals is an incredible album as well though. I remember back is high school a buddy of mine burned both albums back to back on a single cd. Talk about a one two punch!

also the spitting incident on ANIMALS tour stop in Montreal led to my 2nd favorite PF album,THE WALL...
