I need more 60's Psych!

I'm trying to look for new music to check out, and I've decided to maybe check out the Psychedelic 60's stuff. I'm mainly looking for stuff that's similar to Piper At the Gates of Dawn, with it's weird noises and effects and stuff. Are there any suggestions?

Try Iron Butterfly. They have that kinda sound on their LPs Heavy, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida and Ball, their last LP Metamorphosis is more of a heavy rock'n'roll, but I like it (like it, yes I do!). They've also released a live record which has some pretty good music on the first side, while the second side is bad, with a really dull drum solo.

Otherwise, I'd like to hear Soft Machine, their sound should be similar to Pink Floyd, at least on their first albums.

Jimi Hendrix has some psychedelic tunes similar to Pink Floyd as well (Third Stone From The Sun, One Rainy Wish, 1983), and the rest is great too, so maybe this would be good to check out if you haven't already.

Still, I think there's not an album similar to Piper. That's why they were such sensation I guess.

This is a long shot, but you might listen to "Their Satanic Majesties Request" by the Stones, if your haven't already.
It was their attempt to be psychadelic. They caught a lot of flak from critics and fans for 'trying to copy Sgt. Pepper", but I think there is a bit of Floyd influence there.
