Coming Alive

Here's my newest work. Hopefully better than my last poem, which I now realize was a complete disaster. It's in haiku form. There's 8 of them put together for this poem.

Oasis comes forth,
Barren as imagination,
Maiden fantasy.
Breeze splits thinking minds,
Through and out my orifice,
Your blanket breeds life.
Limbs on men and trees,
And morning light, spreading out,
Free poet's mourning.
Free form in my eyes,
Poetry in trough and crest,
And then comes our death.

Pandemic disease,
Fading skin predominates.
Over colored eyes.
Mourning ticks of clocks,
set measure for my music,
as I compose life.
Roaring are the graves,
To remind me of my name.
It screams redemption.
Waiting patiently,
To speak the same voice again.
When death can come back to life.

Tuesday afternoon
I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way
It doesn't matter to me, chasing the clouds away
Something calls to me
The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why
Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh
