STOP

Well Sydney that makes me think of one lady from Sardinia, an insular Italian region which is one of those parts of the western world that tend to remind more of developing countries.
Well, anyway this lady is the mother of some guy my cousin Francesca was dating and when she (my cousin) told her (her boyfriend's mother) that she used to live in London, the lady indeed said something like "Is London Paris?"

Well you see, there's no need to go that far from either Paris or London to find someone who's able to melt them together... quite weird

It's not just the Italians. My mate just got back from the USA, and some of the gems he got to the "I'm from Australia" comment included:

"Did you drive or catch a bus?"

"Problem with that place is it's full of Mexicans" (I believe that particular brainstorm thought we were part of South America), and

"Did ya know Texas is bigger" (apparently this particular Einstein was unhappy with the suggestion that Oz is almost the same size as mainland USA)

Ah yes there were some rather intersting ones posted up on the AOC (Australian olympic comittee) website such as

"Where can I buy milk in Australia?"

"How long will it take me to walk from perth to Sydney?"

"Am I permitted to wear high heels in Australia?"

"Do you have banks in Australia?"

and so on.. if I remember anymore I'll tell you about them
