"Don't Know Why." <song lyrics>

I know that there is a god
I just can't figure out why
I know that look in your face
It's making me sick, it makes me want to die

You are not happy with me
I've messed something up again
I have done something wrong
I can't do anything right

Please don't hate me
Please don't hate me
Please don't hate me
Please don't hit me

I hate
I hate
I hate
I hate...

YOU!!!!

I hate you! (I'm sorry)
I hate you! (Forgive me)
I'm sorry! (I hate you)
Forgive me! (I hate you)
Don't hate me!
Don't hate me!
I won't mess up again
Don't hate me!
I'll get it right next time
Don't hit me! (Please)
Don't hit me! (Please)
Don't hit me....

There must be a reason why
You have that look in your eye
It must be....
Me
It must be....
Me
I did my best,
I tried to do it right,
I did the best that I could
Please say I did it right

I only want
You to love me
I only want
To make you happy

So hate me (now)
So hate me (now)
So hate me (now)
So hit me.....

I love you (just hit me)
I love you (just hit me)
Just hit me (I love you)
Just hit me (I love you)

I still see...
That f**king look in your eye
It must be...
I must be the reason why
But please dad look,
This time i did it right
I tried and tried,
Until I got it right.

Don't hate me (please)
Don't hate me (please)
Don't hate me (please)
Don't hit me (please)

I know that there is a god
but i do not know why.....

Either you're a teenager, or there was another period in live in which you were rather angry, because you'd have to be in a rather insane fit of rage to have composed such lyrics. Though on second thought, I think I figured it out. Is it for a band?

Sounds like it's about a man haveing a blue funk in his life and bringing the pain out on his friend and then discovers that his actions are his own fault so he asks for retribution. Great idea!

He could be doing worse than putting anger out in song lyrics. Though see what happened to Roger Waters...........

it is for a band and i am a teenager. as for the "Issues with Daddy" thing, not exactly. my dad never beat me or anything, its just that sometime he gets a look in his eye that says, "you've screwed up again" i hate that look, cuz i seriously do my best to do things right. that was the inspiration in the beginning, and it just grew from there.

Angry? why no, not at all. Chronically depressed maybe. My band, Malcontent, has named me the depressant. I wasn't "angry" when i wrote it, but i was in an insane fit of depression. The "hit me" parts of the song are, for me at least, representative of emotional blows, but i know that there are kids out there who would relate to the song on a MUCH MORE PHYSICAL level.

I've read it a few times, and I think it needs some cleaning up, but on the whole, i'm satisfied with the lyric.
ill break it down later
