Kevinsaxe said he'd accept NOFX but, I have to ask what the hell is wrong with you? It's so sad that this is what mainstream America has done to our youth. I'm in utter shock, for one you ask who Pink Floyd is - (only the greatest band to ever walk the face of the planet); and then you start listing your favorite bands and all I read is crap. Why don't you check out some Pink Floyd, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, or the Stones? If you don't like old classic rock why don't you do your ears, mind, and soul a favor and at least try to listen to some Tool, Radiohead, Mars Volta, or A Perfect Circle. For your own well being and for the sake of knowing good music please take one of my pieces of advice. Please.

As for your definition of real music, I am sure someone, somewhere could say that punk is real music and feel about it exactly as you feel about Pink Floyd.

In other words, just because you have a distaste for a certain musical style, doesn't mean those who don't don't have a valid opinion.

In short, there are only two genres of music good and bad. Unfortunately what is included in the genres varies from person to person.

I don't have a certain music style that I perfer, I listen to everything. I do have to say that maybe I was too harsh on punk music. There are some punk bands that deserve recognition but, for the most part in my opinion, it's a bunch of mainstream crap.

Nowadays it's mainstream crap. But back when it first started they had something to say. Now it's just, make money and wear a tie and call yourself a punk. Rock music is definitely dying, but the white stripes are gonna save it!

Before I start my rant, let me say I like the White Stripes, I really do.


Rock sucks, it really does. For every great band there are a hundred copycats with no real talent. The last ten years all I have heard about is this band or that will save rock. Rock as a genre doesn't need saved because every genre sucks with few exceptions. For every BB King I am sure there are one hundred sad cases with no talent. For every Conway Twitty there are a hundred nasal off-tune cowboys, and for every Pink Floyd there are a hundred King Crimsons, Yesses, and Rushes. Really it always has been this way, always will.

Lately it was The Hives, or the Strokes (who can remember anyomre?) that was gonna save rock. Judging from these two bands, rock is better off dying. My point being, I like The White Stripes, it doesn't matter to me wether rock lives or dies because good music will exist, regardless.

And you all know it's true.

So anyway...

Tonight on the BBC's Beauty salon ROMCOM (ROMantic COMedy) CUTTING IT, the heroine for whatever reason - it was on during an impromptu visit - was attending a group therapy session which ended with them standing and singing Brain Damage with said heroine really getting into the finalé and giving a rocking good ...I'll see you on the dark side of Moon. ending
