Question who's the best?

who's the best band of the last 15 years?
i'm probably gonna get shredded for this, but this is my selection of the best, so if your band isn't there, jus post 'em...
i'm goin for TooL myself, their stuff, IMO, has revolutionised metal,
and tho floyd r probably d best band ever, TDB just isn't up there in this company...

This is tough. I am not voting for Floyd because thier stuff from the last 15 years has been The Wall, The Final Cut, Momentary Lapse and Division Bell. Not thier best work IMO. It's close between Nirvana, Tool, and NIN. Since Trent Reznor is an amazing artist(writes and plays damn near everything on the albums, plus he produces it), I'll go with NIN....slightly ahead of Tool.

I love AC/DC...but I think it was probably all their stuff pre-1988. There's been a lot of bands since then to choose from...

The Deftones are an OK band.

But Radiohead is the most important, anyway.

I thought "Live" and "R.E.M" were pretty good.

REM were pretty good.

Live never was.

Trust me, I knew them.

Not knew as in freinds, but met them on several occasions, the last of which I was working at Builder's Square and helped Ed with a can of paint. My co-workers told me I should have asked for an autograph, I just laughed.

They have since moved to Hollywood.

That's interesting. Your 'brush' with fame. (ha ha)

I think Ed fancied himself another Mike Stipe.

Actually I laughed because

A) I had already met him several times before, even backstage before a show

and

B) I didn't/don't like his music and I (we) had already told him so, which didn't seem to bother him at all.

Doubtful he would ever remember me.

My true brush with fame was when I met Bob Uecker of TV's Mr. Belvedeere.

i recommend to anyone who likes floyd.. particularly the 'animals sound', a reletively unknown canadian band: matthew good band. NOT to be confused with dave matthews band. their 'breakout' album beautiful midnight was an amazing peice of work. early stuff sucked, up to an album called underdogs, then things got kicking. they can rock, amazing lyrics.. my fave band of the 90s. then maybe radiohead.
