I voted for the Final cut because it's a masterpiece, and i still don't get all those reviews i read. Saying the album doesn't have good melodies and stuff total bullshit.

On the Ummagumma live album, they did a good job with 'Astronomy Domine', 'Careful W/ That Axe', and even 'Set The Controls' was pretty good. But I must say, 'Saucerful' on the Ummagumma live was terrible.
Everything I liked about the studio version was taken away<-------the song was raped.

As far as what the MOST underrated album is, I dunno.

It seems that if it isn't 'The Wall', 'Wish You Were Here', or 'Darkside of the Moon', people in the "mainstream" haven't heard of it. Really, the only reason people know of 'Meddle' is because of Echoes.

'Piper', 'Saucerful', 'More', 'Ummagumma' , 'Atm Hrt Mthr', 'Obscured', and 'The Final Cut' are all underrated

A Momentary Lapse of Reason, easily.

People seem to hate it for absolutely no reason, but it kicks ass.

Went with "Atom Heart", had too, a non-dedicated Floyd fan would have no idea what you were talking about if you said "Atom Heart Mother". Where is "more" and "saucerful"?

Had to go for AMLoR. Just because it is summer, and that album gives me the summer feeling... :P

Ummagumma. I like to that when I wake up in the morning while making my milk shakes and look out the kitchen window.

But I feel likewise about Atom Heart Mother.

I think that's because the three albums above aren't so difficult to understand (like Animals, for example). I mean, you become aware that SOYCD is a great song after a 3-time-listening whilst I had to listen to Animals lots of times before regarding it as a great album too. The same for TFC.
Ummagumma (studio)? Sorry, I haven't succeeded in getting into it yet and, I fear, I will never succeed.

Ummagumma Studio is very good for very specific circumstances (like the ones Poggle Zig described).

Definatly AHM. I wouldn't call TDB or PaTGoD underrated at all. They're in their proper place, but TDB does recieve more abuse than is necissary.

But really...AHM is great. The title track is simply amazing (not to mention the rest of it); when I first got it, I was listened to it compulsively everyday for nearly a month. It's a rare occurence when a new album gets that much attention from me.

Atom Heart Mother is the best non-golden age cd, the solo of Fat Old Sun just goes so well with the Music

momentary lapse of reason has been underated because alot of the fans at the time were Waters fans, not to get into the debate about who is better for the band.

I would vote Umma but the forum has locked me off the poll. Out of the list easily the best is Piper but that is not an underated album as desscusions here prove it is much loved. However Umma (esp the studio disk) regularly comes in for a kicking when there is only one really bad track and many like the narrow way are excelent.
