Pink Floyd at 2003 MTV music video awards???

I saw this promo tonight for the Mtv music video awards, judging from the artwork and voice over it looks like there will be a surprise performance by Pink Floyd.

No really, did anyone else notice all the references to the artwork from The Wall? Or was it just me? Would be awesome if Roger Waters showed up, like David Lee Roth a couple years ago. . .

The only surprise I've caught wind of is a supposed triple star performance including Madonna, Brittney, and J-Lo doing Like A Virgin. If Pink Floyd was to do a surprise performance that they wanted their fans to see, I don't think that the MTV VMAs would be even close to worthy of hosting such a shindig.

In total agreement with the previous four posters.

Sorry, Suparslinc, didn't catch that advert, but welcome anyway.

I don't believe Pink Floyd would play MTV awards. It's like doing a tour with Madonna! Awful thought.

No, it would be like Pink Floyd supporting Justin Timberlake's world tour. About as likely as me finding out I can fly.

I am completely perplexed at the thought of Pink Floyd having anything to do with the butcher of music: MTV

Very true. In my view, the simpliest version "pop" as it is performed by "artists" like Britney Spears, the other girls and all of those so called boy-bands has nothing to do with art, not even with music. It's a money machine.

Madonna was just doing what she does best...which is shock the world. We were all witness to what will probably be one of "VH1's most shocking moments in rock history" lists in 10 years. She had to top herself. I looked at it in sort of an artistic way, as it was almost theatrical like. Some people are outraged for sure..but I admire the woman for being the best at what she does.
